After the discovery of a dead body on Thursday, without knowing the precise location, a second body was fished out on Friday according to the maritime prefecture. A pleasure boat identified this body off the coast of Boulogne-sur-Mer. Reported to the operational surveillance and rescue center (CROSS) Gris-Nez, the body was fished out by a French Navy boat who was on patrol in the area.
Another French Navy boat brought the body back to shore, in Boulogne-sur-Mer where it was taken care of by the State services. The Boulogne-sur-Mer prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation, entrusted to the maritime gendarmerie. The prefecture reminds that if you witness an event at sea, you can contact the emergency services by telephone at 196 or on channel 16 of the VHF.
