A 36-year-old man from Montbéliard was sentenced this Friday evening by the Doubs Court of Assizes to 15 years of criminal imprisonment for sexual assault, rape and corruption of minors. For eight years, he had imposed hundreds of fellatios on the young girl and forced the two children to practice incestuous sexual relations between them.
He is also found guilty of attempted murder, for putting a cap over the boy’s mouthafter he revealed the facts.
Adorable toddlers facing the unspeakable
The civil party begins its argument by the evocation of the photos of the two little victims, at the start of prevention. “Adorable toddlers aged 5 and 7, confronted with the unspeakable for nearly eight years: the rape repeated hundreds of times, for the little girl, in a chilling planning”, exclaims Nathalie Rey-Demaneuf. “Every Thursday, during the absence of the mother, she is forced to fellatio. “His Thing”adds, the general counsel, Sandra Coello, for whom the height of perversion, “the young girl is thrown into the arms of her brother for forced sexual relations and against payment”.
Mom Trusted Sexual Predator
“Arrived in the family as a savior, the mother’s companion has turned into an executioner”adds master Jérôme Pischoff, lawyer for the mother, in an allusion to the violence that the mother of the family and her three children had suffered with the previous husband and father of the children. “Thinking herself out of the woods, she places her trust in a sexual predator”
Civil parties and public prosecutor then insist on the right to silence, exercised by the accused. A man whom his sister describes as unpredictable and violent and whom his colleagues in the city of Montbéliard describe as arrogant and disturbing.
Prostrated in his box, the 36-year-old from Montbéliard remains silent on the facts. “Faced with civil parties who had no other choice but to plunge back into their trauma, the accused chose to flee,” hammers master Rey-Demaneuf. “The peak of cowardice”, adds the Advocate General who unfolds the charges: rape, sexual assault, corruption of a minor and attempted murder. For her, all the offenses are made up. It requires 25 years in prison with a safety period of 16 years.
A judgment of Solomon but no appeal
Totally disproportionate requisitions, exclaims master Uzan to the defense. “If I share your deep disgust for these repeated rapes”, he says “the sentence must take into account the personality of a fragile man who was sexually abused when he was the same age as his victims”
After a two-hour deliberation, the Assize Court of Doubs pronounces the sentence of 15 years of criminal imprisonment. “We expected more, but we accept the pain”, said the mother. “We will be able to rebuild ourselves now”. Children concede mixed relief.
For Maître Alain Dreyfus-Schmidt, the other defense lawyer, “It is a judgment of Solomon. The court went below the requisitions, as if it wanted to cut the pear in two”. The defense will not appeal.
