A 16-year-old boy stabbed in Rivière-des-Prairies

A 16-year-old boy was stabbed Sunday afternoon following an altercation that broke out outside on a boulevard in the Rivière-des-Prairies area of ​​Montreal.

Officers from the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) arrested two individuals in the context of an altercation, around 4 p.m., on boulevard Rodolphe-Forget near boulevard Perras.

Around the same time a call was made to 9-1-1 regarding an injured man not far from where the conflict had taken place. “When the police arrived, a 16-year-old young man was found on the spot with major injuries to his upper body,” said SPVM spokeswoman Jeanne Drouin.

The victim was transported to a hospital, his state of health is currently unknown to the police authorities.

According to the SPVM, the injured man took refuge in an establishment near the scene of the incident.

Police have arrested two suspects who may be linked to the assault. They are expected to be met later by investigators from the Criminal Investigations Department.
