Cats have been responsible for more than 100 fires in South Korea over the past three years, according to the NY Post.
The Seoul Metropolitan Area Fire Department announced on Thursday that it was 107 fires between January 2019 and November 2021 that the little cats caused.
Experts believe that one way cats do is to light the burners on Koreans’ stoves.
With their paws, they can even occasionally light buttons which are tactile.
When these appliances are open for too long, they can overheat and catch fire.
Also according to this report, four people were injured in these fires declared by cats.
In the United States, according to the American Humane Association, pets are responsible for about 1,000 fires in homes each year.
