Russell Martin to be inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame

(St Marys, Ontario) Former Toronto Blue Jays players Russell Martin and Jimmy Key headline the 2024 Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame inductees.


Key helped solidify Toronto’s starting rotation for seven seasons and won the World Series with the Blue Jays in 1992.

Martin spent four seasons in Toronto, helping the team reach the AL championship series in 2015 and 2016.

Former women’s national team member Ashley Stephenson will also be inducted along with former Blue Jays president and chief operating officer Paul Godfrey, former men’s national team pitcher Rod Heisler and longtime Blue Jays executive date of the baseball association of Leaside, a neighborhood of Toronto, Howard Birnie.

An induction ceremony is planned for June 15.
