Three months before the release of Martin Scorsese’s new film, Killers of the Flower MoonApple and Paramount studios unveiled a second trailer for this highly anticipated western on Wednesday, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro.
Accompanied by a Native song, the new images show a series of murders, fights and explosions in a rural setting reminiscent of early 20th century Americae century.
Based on real events, the feature film looks at the history of the Osage Nation, established on a coveted territory due to the presence of oil, and whose members were mysteriously murdered.
Screened at Cannes last May, the film was well received by critics.
“Martin Scorsese offers one of his most accomplished films, even if the grace is expressed here in a slightly less spectacular way than in his previous works”, wrote in particular our late colleague Marc-André Lussier.
The theater release Killers of the Flower Moon is scheduled for October 6. The film will then be broadcast on the Apple TV+ platform.
