kyiv says it targeted Russian ‘training’ in town of Makiivka

The Ukrainian army claimed, on the evening of Tuesday July 5, to have targeted a “training” in Makiivka, an occupied city in eastern Ukraine, where Russian media reported one dead and 36 civilians injured in an attack led by kyiv. “As a result of the firepower of the units of the (Ukrainian) Defense Forces, another formation of Russian terrorists in the temporarily occupied Makivka area ceased to exist”, the Office of Strategic Communications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Telegram. Russian strikes cause new victims. Two people were killed in the Kherson region by Russian artillery shelling, Governor Oleksandr Prokudin announced on Telegram on Tuesday. In the Kharkiv region, a Russian strike using an Iskander missile left at least 40 injured, including 12 children, according to a report announced by Volodymyr Zelensky. Three people were also injured in the Donetsk region and three others in the Chernihiv region, according to local authorities.
