In the middle of an interview, Anne Roumanoff explodes and denounces the sexism she suffers!

Anne Roumanoff pulls out her claws… On the occasion of her imminent return to the stage scheduled for July 8 in Levent, July 27 in Carqueiranne, or August 4 in Marseille, Anne Roumanoff gave an interview to our colleagues of nice morningthis Tuesday, July 4, 2023. An interview during which, like the title of his new show called “Everything is almost fine”, the 57-year-old comedian revealed his ironic view of society.

The proof, Anne Roumanoff looked at the inequalities between men and women which she obviously wanted to denounce through this interview: “For women, it’s more difficult, whatever people say. Whether in politics or in business, as soon as a woman steps out of the frame, people shoot live ammunition”she began.

And to justify one of the many reasons why she was personally affected by this persistent discrimination between the two sexes: “I am more and more sensitive to this subject, because I live it, if only for the film that I dream of directing”, she lamented. Reluctance often justified by the fact that the latter is not taken seriously on the pretext that she is a comedian… A false justification according to her! And for good reason, many comedians have managed to make films.

“There are so-called reservations about the fact that I am a comedian… I am as capable of making a film as Dany Boon or Élie Semoun! », she also said in stride.

“These sexist remarks…”

Beyond this difference in appreciation linked to her sex, the one who defines herself as feminist wished to approach other environments in which being a woman was complicated: “There are also all these sexist remarks that women politicians suffer and that nobody talks about. The perpetual trial in incompetence, the remarks on the physique of the presidential candidates, the eternal suspicions of promotion sofa, the wickedness of the media as soon as a woman shows a little weakness, we talk about it? », she launched.

And to conclude: “One day we will have to look at what French women politicians have endured and are still enduring while gritting their teeth courageously”.
