“Non-human” devices held by the United States? Why the words of a former American colonel are to be taken with tweezers

The allegations of David Charles Grusch, at the beginning of June, divide. If some defend it, several specialists express their doubts in the face of the lack of evidence.

The case turns out to be as sensitive as the words are sensational. David Charles Grusch claims that the United States has devices “of non-human origin”. This former member of the American intelligence services assured it in an article on The Debrief site published on Monday, June 5. With this media rather inclined to believe in a form of extraterrestrial life that has come to visit Earth, he reports having delivered classified information to Congress, which was illegally hidden from elected officials in the country.

According to the 36-year-old ex-soldier, who served in the American armed forces in Afghanistan, the United States is in possession of devices “intact and partially intact” thanks to collections carried out over the last decades. “These are non-human, i.e. of unknown or extraterrestrial origin, based on their unique shape and characteristics, such as their radiological signature,” exposes the former colonel of the United States Air Force.

Supported by former US officials

“It could be extraterrestrial or it could be something else, from other dimensions as described by quantum mechanics”he added to the Parisian. “I was unsure of their non-human origin, until I was briefed on the analysis carried out by members of these programs on these recovered vessels”insisted to the French daily the one who worked for the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA), and specifically within the team responsible for investigating UFOs from 2019 to 2021. He claims to have received such briefs “for almost a decade”. “The programs I’m talking about were devoted to reverse engineering [c’est-à-dire l’étude d’un objet afin d’en découvrir son fonctionnement et sa conception] for military purposes”.

In an interview with NewsNation, David Charles Grusch admits that he did not see with his own eyes the famous machines of which they speak but that he saw “interesting pictures” And “read very interesting reports”. For their part, several major American media such as the New York Times THE washington post and Politico preferred to play it safe and did not want to publish his testimony which they could have had exclusively, according to Vanity Fair.

Despite the lack of advanced evidence, David Charles Grusch is supported in the columns of The Debrief by Karl E. Nell, a former US Army colonel who worked with him, and presents him as “irreproachable”. “The phenomenon of non-human intelligence is real. We are not alone”, also declares to the specialized site Jonathan Grey, who works at the intelligence center for the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (Nasic). This service of the US Air Force analyzes military intelligence on foreign air and space forces, weapons and systems.

“To Dave, my friend and former colleague, thank you for your courage and your honesty”for his part wrote on Twitter Luis Elizondo. The latter once ran a secret Pentagon unit studying UFOs, called the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP). This service became known to the public after the revelations, in 2017, of the New York Times and Politico (in English) about its existence. The case had caused a stir across the Atlantic, forcing the American authorities who had to put an end to the disdain they could display until then on the subject of unidentified aerial phenomena (PAN).

Many “whistleblowers” and “witnesses” in the United States

UFOs and UAPs are a recurring subject across the Atlantic. David Charles Grusch “is part of a long series of whistleblowers or allegations in the United States about UFOs”, confirms with franceinfo the sociologist Pierre Lagrange, researcher at the CNRS, and specialist in the controversies between science and “beliefs”. He recalls that John Podesta, former adviser to Barack Obama and former campaign manager for Hillary Clinton in 2016, is himself convinced of the existence of secrets within the American administration on UFOs.

“David Charles Grusch’s remarks only revive the debate”, also believes with franceinfo Jean-Jacques Velasco, who for twenty-four years was responsible for Geipan (Group for the study and information on unidentified aerospace phenomena) created within Cnes, the French Space Agency. For him, “David Charles Grusch’s remarks are not far-fetched and are probably based on verifiable facts”.

Jean-Jacques Velasco emphasizes that his revelations are in line with those of the book Aftermath of Roswell (The Day After Roswell). In this disputed book, published in 2017, Philip J. Corso, a former lieutenant-colonel of the US Air Force, claims to have participated in the collection, exploitation and analysis of debris from extraterrestrial devices recovered on the Roswell site. Like David Charles Grusch, he talks about reverse engineering. According to him, the process has enabled the development of major modern applications such as electronic chips, lasers and even fiber optics.

“We now have several hundred witnesses who say they witnessed or participated in the collection of the debris. And we have about fifty witnesses who had materials in their hands [de ces appareils], says Jean-Jacques Velasco. These witnesses, he points out, report that these materials had extraordinary characteristics: extreme finesse, shape memory or even resistance to firearm fire. However, he concedes that these stories lack material evidence.

General Jean-Marc Laurent, executive head of the Defense and Aerospace Chair at Sciences Po Bordeaux, dismisses any plausibility in the allegations of David Charles Grusch to franceinfo. “I don’t believe it (…) All this leaves me speechless”he blurts out.

“If this is something hidden for decades, we would have had elements, inevitably (…) Even the biggest secrets of the Cold War, today, do not manage to be kept secret.”

Asked on June 6 about the allegations of David Charles Grusch, the White House invited journalists to turn to the United States Department of Defense. The American channel ABC (in English) then reported the response from a Pentagon spokeswoman. His office “did not uncover any verifiable information to support the allegations” by David Charles Grusch.

The department certainly mentioned, in 2022, that a “increasing number” unidentified objects had been spotted in the sky for twenty years, which constitutes a potential danger for the airspace of the United States. The Pentagon has even declassified intriguing videos showing impressively moving craft.

NASA also held its first public meeting on UAPs in early June. Objective: to present the conclusions of its panel of experts, which included in particular astrophysicists and astronauts, and “de-stigmatize” the theme. A decoy, according to Jean-Jacques Velasco, believing that NASA is trying to invest “more or less openly the subject” to better hide any really important elements.

This mistrust has no reason to be, judges General Jean-Marc Laurent, who highlights his experience: “I am a fighter pilot, I have a lot of flying hours in France and the United States. I have never seen or heard, between pilots, any allusion, testimony or questions on the subject of BANG.” And to continue to reject any concealment: “I was at the highest level of the hierarchy of the Air Force [française]. And this is a subject that has never emerged. It’s not that we hide it, it’s that there is nothing!”

The dossier that David Charles Grusch submitted to Congress is hundreds of pages including specific data on secret programs “but no physical material related to wreckage or other non-human objects”notes The Debrief. “We will see if he is heard by Congress and if he is ordered to speak. It’s not joking. It’s a very serious matter”warned the Parisian Luc Dini, president of the Sigma 2 Commission, within the Aeronautical and Astronautical Association of France, which peels unexplained cases all over the world.

While for some there is doubt, one certainty remains: the irrefutable proof is not there. However, as the highly respected astrophysicist Carl Sagan summed up, “Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence”.
