Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle, meanwhile, did not attend the event.

During this celebration, Kate Middleton, dressed in black, wore the pearl necklaces and dangling earrings inherited from Queen Elizabeth II. A great way to pay tribute not only to her but also to the late Lady Diana since she herself had worn these same jewels on certain occasions. These jewels were made from pearls given to Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip at their wedding in 1947, a year before the birth of their son Charles.
