Anne Brochet separated from Gad Elmaleh: the rare words of the comedian on the mother of his son Noé

This Sunday, November 13, C8 broadcasts the film Confidences too intimate (2004) by Patrice Leconte with, among others, Sandrine Bonnaire (Anna), Fabrice Luchini (William), Gilbert Melki (Marc), Laurent Gamelon (Luc) and Anne Brochet in the role of Jeanne.

Anne Brochet was in a relationship for a few years with Gad Elmaleh with whom she had a son, Noé, 22, now a model. They separated in 2002. In his autobiographical novel The bitter grain (Editions Le Seuil) published in 2015, Anne Brochet, discreet about her private life but also in the media sphere, briefly returned to her relationship with the 51-year-old actor. “I thought that with him I could live the casual and subdued life. He seemed pragmatic, constant, in love, cheerful, insolent and he wanted me, me”, had written the actress who will celebrate her 56th birthday on November 22.

A meeting on the boards for Anne Brochet and Gad Elmaleh

In October 2018, Gad Elmaleh gave an interview to the Parisian for the promotion of the show The Invitation which he shared the poster with Philippe Lellouche. This piece marked the return of Gad Elmaleh on the boards. A rather special flavor for the comedian who had confided: “The last time I played at the theater was about twenty years ago. And I met the mother of my son Noé there, it’s my best memory of the theater.” Indeed, it is in the room all against by Patrick Marber that Anne Brochet and Gad Elmaleh met in 1998. She played Alice and he played Dan.

I wouldn’t be alive without my children

Before being Gad Elmaleh’s companion, Anne Brochet gave birth to a 24-year-old daughter, Josépha, whose father died. Now single like her ex Gad, the actress and mother of a family has been able to fill the absence of the father of her daughter and her mother with the presence of her children. “Motherhood saved me by anchoring me to the ground. I would not be alive without my children (…) I have lived since childhood in terror that my mother would die, and then it happened and I survived. I’m not grieving. I’m continuing the relationship otherwise. If my daughter’s father called me right now, I’d pick up the phone without surprise.”she told the Sunday newspaper in 2015.
