the strike at TAO continues, further disruptions planned for Monday

It was a weekend of respite for bus and tram users in the Orleans metropolitan area. All buses and trams ran normally. However, drivers strike, started last Thursday, is not over. The last negotiations yielded nothing. The management of Kéolis, the network manager, committed to a bonus of 300 euros (against 200 at the start). Only, it remains far from the 5% increase in wages claimed by the unions. A new meeting is scheduled for Monday afternoon.

15% of traffic will be affected this Monday

If this showdown continues, the unions do not rule out further symbolic action. After blocking the tram depot on Thursday, at the start of the strike, they could block the entrance to CO’Met, the new equipment of the metropolis, which will come into service on Friday with the Salon de l’Habitat. In the meantime, this Monday, September 26, 15% of traffic will again be impacted by the strike action.
