Many French people prefer to wear sneakers rather than traditional shoes. Some have become collectors and spend hundreds of dollars a month to obtain them.
Just look at the ground to see that the trend is spreading in France. More and more people are deciding to wear sneakers rather than traditional shoes. It affects all social classes and all age groups. “It’s so practical and comfortable“, judges a passerby interviewed. For some, it has even become a passion, and stores exhibit the sneakers as true works of art.
Damon Pallot is a sneaker collector and doesn’t hesitate to put his hand in his pocket to get the pairs he dreams of. He spends on average “200 or 300 euros per month“. In stores, the sneaker shelves are constantly expanding, and diversifying as and when. Lucas Dury, a former sales manager, himself customizes shoes that he sells for 40 euros, once they have been redesigned. Unsurprisingly, the business is doing very well.
