Elisabeth Borne announced Tuesday, September 6 in Paris an increase of “8,500 police and gendarme posts” in five years in France including “3,000 from 2023”within the framework of the security programming law.
The Prime Minister made this announcement the day before the presentation in the Council of Ministers of a new version of the orientation and programming bill of the Ministry of the Interior (Lopmi), during the inauguration of a police station in the center of the capital.
