Volodymyr Zelensky visits his troops

On Monday June 6, several towns in Donbass (Ukraine) were almost constantly under air alert. Civilians only come out for food distributions. They fear they will meet the same fate as the inhabitants of the city of Severodonetsk (Ukraine), located further east, shelled by the Russians. Ukrainian soldiers have had to retreat from a town taken by the Russians, and their morale was not good.

“It’s a tragedy to have had to step back. We would never want to have to do that. What we want is to attack”says a soldier. “The Russian artillery destroyed everything, everything was razed. There was no longer any possible position to hide”, says another. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky visited ballast of the country to present medals and support the troops. “Without you, our country is nothing”, did he declare. His intervention, it seems, succeeded in consolidating the spirit of resistance of his men.
