The European embargo on Russian oil “is a stupid and harmful sanction for the French people”, according to Marine Le Pen, RN deputy for Pas-de-Calais, and candidate for re-election, invited by franceinfo on Tuesday June 7. Last week, the EU agreed to a gradual embargo on Russian oil arriving by ship by the end of the year.
Marine Le Pen says she would not have signed it. “Emmanuel Macron will create a tariff shield that he will make the middle classes pay for”, she assures. For the former far-right presidential candidate, the tariff shield put in place by Emmanuel Macron and renewed for the next few months “is only a temporary measure”.
“Russian oil will be sold to others”and more expensive, “so in reality Russia is going to be richer because of these sanctions”still denounces Marine Le Pen. “In reality, Russia will be delighted”, she assures. Marine Le Pen recalls that India “had dramatically increased its oil purchases” Russian.
