New amendments could indeed be made to the By-law concerning the safety of residential swimming pools in order to give owners more time to make the necessary changes.

In the context of a pandemic, marked by an increase in the cost of construction materials, a shortage of labor and a greater demand for residential swimming pools, the two-year period initially planned for complying with the regulations risks being exceeded. be insufficient, argued the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, Andrée Laforest, in her memorandum to Cabinet on 1er April 2022.

Interested parties have until June 4 to submit their comments.
