A man was reportedly killed by his son after a family conflict that occurred Tuesday evening in Montreal, in the borough of Ville-Marie. The 28-year-old suspect was arrested overnight a few hours after the incident.

The police went around 9:30 p.m. to the deceased’s apartment, located on Logan Street, not far from Poupart Street.
A 75-year-old man is located on the spot. He was alone, unconscious and stabbed. His death was confirmed despite several resuscitation maneuvers.
“There is talk of a possible intra-family conflict between a father and his son, but the precise circumstances surrounding the murder remain to be determined”, specifies agent Gabriella Youakim, spokesperson for the police force.
This is the eighth homicide to occur on the territory of the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) this year.
The suspect is scheduled to appear at the Montreal courthouse on Wednesday.
