A minister visiting the Dordogne in March

The Minister Delegate in charge of Public Accounts to the Minister of the Economy, Olivier Dussopt, will be in Bergerac in March. The deputy for the second constituency, Michel Delpon invited him and he assures us this Saturday evening that the minister has confirmed his arrival. The date has not yet been set but the visit is scheduled for March. Olivier Dussopt will visit the premises of the Bergerac tax service and meet the agents. Around twenty staff from the Ministry of the Economy moved to the Dordogne last September. This is the result of a project to decentralize services throughout the territory.

A project to decentralize public services

Gérald Darmanin, at the time Minister of Action and Public Accounts, announced in September 2020 this relocation project, to revitalize medium-sized towns. In all, 19 municipalities in France hosted nearly 500 agents. Eventually, according to Michel Delpon, about fifty agents from metropolitan areas will come to settle in the Dordogne.
