Samu social celebrates its thirtieth anniversary this weekend of November 17 and 18. A collection of non-governmental associations helps homeless people throughout the country. Every night and throughout the year, mobile aid teams (EMA) go to meet destitute people. In 1993, the Samu social carried out its first marauding raids in Paris. Missions then carried out to the four corners of France.
300,000 homeless
The number of homeless people would have doubled in the space of ten years: 300,000 people in 2023.
