22 years after her participation, Olivia Ruiz tackles production

The new Star Academy season kicked off this Saturday, November 4, 2023 on TF1. As always, it was Nikos Aliagas who was in charge of the show and who therefore presented the 13 candidates for this new edition and who therefore joined the famous castle of Dammaries-les-Lys. Viewers were then able to learn several things, starting with the godfathers of this new season who are James Blunt and Vitaa.

They then discovered the teaching staff made up of Adeline Toniutti for singing, Pierre de Brauer for theater, Coach Joe for sport, but also Lucie Bernardoni and Marlène Schaff as tutors and two new recruits: Malika Benjelloun for dance and the choreographies of the prime Cécile Chaduteau for stage expression. Finally, we also know that this year’s anthem is the song At the end of my dreams by Jean-Jacques Goldman. And while the time is in good spirits following this launch, a former student has decided to settle scores with production. This is Olivia Ruiz, candidate from the very first season which took place in 2001 and which was marked by Jenifer’s coronation.

This Sunday, November 5, 2023, Olivia Ruiz, who returns with a new album after seven years of absence, reveals in the columns of Parisianwhy she distanced herself from the show that revealed her more than twenty years ago. “The show successfully returned last year and restarts this Saturday. Have you been following along?” we ask him.

And the pretty brunette replied: “Not at all. I have the reports from my mother, who is very TV. They didn’t ask me” she declared before becoming more virulent. “I hope they take more care of the candidates, especially after the show. I was on the tour because I was one of the last finalists, but the others were like ‘get on with it’“.

The singer concluded by drawing attention to a competing music program: ” On the other hand, I loved New School on Netflix. As there is writing and composition work, it caught my attention straight away and I found them powerful, the kids.”
