Zone exit, season 5 | Episode 14: what future for the Caufield-Suzuki duo?

The Canadian returns from Detroit where he collected a big victory… but with a Caufield-Suzuki duo which was separated. Is this only temporary, and will we see him reunited again soon?

In the victory, there was also goalkeeper Cayden Primeau who stood out, as did Sean Monahan. The Canadian must then face the Bruins and the Canucks this weekend. Predictions?

And we come back to the fall of the Edmonton Oilers, who perhaps need Jake Allen…

I find it difficult to evaluate Primeau’s work overall. If we look at his statistics, it’s a disaster, he’s a goalie who allows on average four goals per game in the NHL. But he hasn’t played much that we can’t rely on that. I don’t know what’s going to happen with him, but this victory is gold for him.

Simon-Olivier Lorange

I would like to see a bigger sample. Last year, Suzuki and Caufield were separated once by Martin St-Louis, on December 23 against the Dallas Stars. It didn’t happen after that, and Caufield had surgery in January. We’ve almost never seen them together since St-Louis has been in office.

Simon-Olivier Lorange

I experienced it with Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn with the Stars. I was happy [quand ils étaient séparés], because I could benefit from one or the other. Because when Jamie played with Tyler, I never played with Tyler.

Antoine Roussel

I was wondering if from the beginning Sean Monahan wasn’t the best player. He is always visible, always causing something. It will be quite a dilemma, because we will reach a point where we will have to make a decision with him: do we keep him? If you want to win eventually, you will need these types of players.
