Yannick Noah separates from a beautiful collection: a large sum of money at stake

On December 17, the Ferri house will offer up for auction – at a sale entitled Selected works: jewelry, decorative arts, contemporary art – a series of five serigraphs signed Andy Warhol representing the legendary singer of the Rolling Stones group: Mick Jagger. Canvases that belong to Yannick Noah.

Expertised by Brun et Perazzone, these color serigraphs on Arches Aquarelle paper size 110.7×73.4 cm signed lower right Andy Warhol and lower left by Mick Jagger were made in 1975 in New York. They represent the singer willing that day to pose under the fixed focal length of the king of pop-art’s polaroid. Five poses, five attitudes, but still the same spirit summed up in three words that we all know. The singer, from his first scene at the Marquee in 1962, until the concert given six weeks ago in homage to their drummer who died last August, represents the swinging sixties“, informs the Ferri house.

The sale, orchestrated by master Alexandre Ferri, should pay off big. The former tennis champion Yannick Noah, who bought these works in New York in 1987, can consider touching a nice sum of money since each screen print is estimated between 30 and 40,000 euros. Logically, if the five serigraphs are sold at this minimum price, that brings the amount to a six-figure check … Curious and art lovers will be able to go see these works exhibited on December 15, 16 and 17 (at morning). On the other hand, it is not certain that Yannick Noah will make the trip, he who has chosen to leave France; even if he continues to make stays in France; he was recently seen with his children in Paris.

Note that this sale offers a total of 45 lots among which we can also count on works by Braque or Jouve as well as jewelry from Boucheron, Hermès or Chaumet. Perhaps a privileged few will be entitled to chic gifts at the foot of the Christmas tree in a few weeks …
