10:28 : “You have to have a useful president, not just a useful vote”.

François Hollande, for his part, ruled out supporting Jean-Luc Mélenchon, even though the candidate of La France insoumise stands out from the rest of the left in the polls and Ségolène Royal, in particular, has called for “useful vote” for him. “It would not be useful to have a president who would come out of the Atlantic alliance”considered in particular the former President of the Republic on France Inter.

10:15 a.m. : “Nicolas Sarkozy is free to choose. Me, today, I believe that I defend politics, the convictions which are his”.

One month before the first round, Nicolas Sarkozy has still not taken a position on the presidential election, nor supported the candidate of his former party, Valérie Pécresse. “I trace my path”replied the latter, questioned about it on RMC and BFMTV. She no longer seems to expect help from the last president from her political family.

09:25 : “I want to understand that a debate at 12 is certainly not easy. But today there are three or four candidates who can be in the second round and who stand. Why not accept a debate with each candidates?”

Xavier Bertrand, who now participates in Valérie Pécresse’s campaign, criticizes Emmanuel Macron’s refusal to participate in debates before the first round. On RTLit proposes the organization of four face-to-face meetings with the best-placed outsiders.

09:17 : In 2017, Emmanuel Macron was elected in particular on the promise of a “new world” political, more morally exemplary, more participatory, more open to civil society. Five years later, has this ambition materialized? Our journalist Thibaud Le Meneec draws up a mixed picture.
