Monday, December 4, tourists are still present in Paris, two days after the knife attack which left one dead. Many say they are worried about their safety. “When we heard the news, we said to ourselves that we weren’t safe, not as safe as we thought.”, estimates a young tourist. Visitors are therefore worried and wondering a few months before the Olympic Games. For the opening ceremony which is to be held at the end of July, the government promises increased security resources. 30,000 police officers and gendarmes will be mobilized.
The opening ceremony will not be relocated
Monday, December 4 in the morning, however, some police unions say they are concerned. However, the Minister of Sports refuses to change the program. Even if France is on maximum attack alert, the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games will not be relocated.
