Work to transform the Saint-Gilles town hall into a reception and orientation center

The reception of the town hall of Saint-Gilles is modernized to become a reception and guidance center. The work will last several months. “The Town Hall building is magnificent but old (1850) and little suited to the uses of modern life, indicates the town hall. In order to improve the reception, and therefore the public service, the mayor Eddy Valadier and his municipal council have decided to invest in the creation of a reception and orientation center at the town hall: a modern service, more accessible and versatile which will facilitate the process for users“.

The project: a true one-stop-shop, “clear and unobstructed, pleasant and comfortable to wait“, led by versatile agents and trained in all kinds of requests (identity documents, town planning, civil status, etc.)

Throughout the work, public entry will be through the wooden door that opens onto Place Jean Jaurès. The entrance to rue de la Tour will be blocked off until the end of the work. This is where visitors will be greeted, before being sent to the service concerned by their request.

Attention: the visits will take place by appointment. An appointment form can be collected on site or downloaded from the city’s website. To find the form, just click here. It is strongly recommended to call 04 34 39 58 00 or send an email to [email protected] before traveling for any question or useful information.

Cost : 250,000 euros HT with subsidies from the Region and the State.
