The Douro vineyards are among the most beautiful, and impressive, there is. And their wines are very distinctive. They bear the mark of these hot and often dry terroirs: very ripe fruit and a fleshy mouthfeel.

But the best ones also show a lot of freshness, thanks in part to the shale soils from which they come.

And this is the case with Dourosa 2019. With a deep purplish color, this Quinta de la Rosa Dourosa Douro 2019 gently reveals notes of black fruits, mauve flowers, herbs and sun-heated earth.

The mouth shows substance, with a lot of fruit, but also a lot of freshness, tone and moderate, slightly firm tannins.

Cocoa notes and a mineral impression stretch out on the finish. To be enjoyed with lamb chops with herbs, ribs, bean stew with chorizo.
