Some people will not have acne during adolescence, but will see acne appear after 20 years, 30 years. Before thinking about contraceptive pills or heavy treatment to get rid of your pimples, first look at your personal habits!
Did you know ? According to the Haute Autorité de Santé, 12% of women and 3% of men aged between 25 and 58 are affected by late-onset acne.
The causes
- too much stress
- A diet too high in fat, sugar, alcohol
- Some ingredients in the cosmetics you use
- A lack of sleep
- Hormonal imbalances, especially in women during pregnancy, changing or stopping contraceptive pills or during menopause
Advice
- Try to analyze what can cause or at least accentuate your acne. If you are overworked or stressed, for example, be more zen, take the time to breathe and reconnect with yourself.
- If you notice your pimples popping up after applying makeup then look at the ingredients or switch brands to see if that has an impact. The best thing is to let your skin breathe as much as possible. Reduce and avoid makeup as much as possible, this will allow you to see if the problem comes from there and your skin will thank you!
- If you are fond of sweet foods, reduce your daily sugar intake and replace your sweets with fruit.
Follow these different tips for at least two weeks/one month. Then observe if a difference occurs. The best thing is to consult a dermatologist, or an endocrinologist for the hormonal part.
Some products sold in parapharmacies and/or supermarkets can help purify your face and reduce acne.
