One year after the start of the vaccination campaign, 5.7 million French people have not received their first dose. Jules Longchampt takes stock of the situation in the 19/20 of Tuesday, December 14.
In France, first-time injections continue: 138,000 during the first week of December. However, the progression has slowed down for several months, so that “some experts believe that the vaccine ceiling would be reached”, underlines the journalist Jules Longchampt on the set of 19/20 on Tuesday, December 14.
There is not really a typical profile of an unvaccinated person in France. There are differences between age groups, but “vaccination started later for 12-17 year olds”, recalls the journalist. We mainly observe regional disparities and in particular “a clear difference between the West and the South-East”, says Jules Longchampt. Among the bad pupils, the Ain, the Ardèche or the Alpes-Maritimes. The vaccination rate also varies according to the rurality of the department. Finally in the French overseas departments and territories, “apart from Reunion Island, the figures are well below the French average”, concludes the journalist.
