“New hospital admissions, due to Covid, are experiencing a very significant increase, both in critical care services and in conventional medicine. ►► Vaccination booster
The Regional Health Agency recalls its importance:
- the vaccine reduces the risk of severe forms by 90% and a vaccinated person is 8 times less likely to be hospitalized and 10 times less likely to die from COVID;
- to limit severe forms of the disease and the risk of transmission, it is essential to be vaccinated or to carry out a vaccination booster.
The booster dose is for all people 18 years of age and over who have a full initial vaccination schedule.
- From 5 months after the last dose of the initial regimen or after a Covid-19 infection if this took place after the vaccination.
- From 1 month for people vaccinated with Janssen (5 months if they have already received an additional dose of messenger RNA).
- From 3 months after the last injection for severely immunocompromised people, on medical advice.
