Hellfest’s traveling tour, the Warm-Up, stopped in Angers on May 3. Rock atmosphere and good humor for this warm-up lap before the big meeting of metal lovers from June 15 to 18 in Clisson, in Loire-Atlantique. On the program of this countdown, which is a great success at each stage, concerts of course, but also many activities.
The young French scene is in the spotlight of this Warm-Up, this spring tour to introduce a wide audience to metal and rock music and culture. On the program, music with concerts by Pogo Car Crash Control and Betraying The Martyrs. “It was not possible to imagine that ten years ago, the public did not respond enough present. So it’s really nice to see that today, we are able to set up tours like this- there and that there are a lot of people. We can see that the metal and rock scene is attracting more and more people”, explains Victor Guillet, member of Betraying The Martyrs.
Tattoos and air guitar
In addition to the concerts, many activities and workshops around rock culture are offered at each stage of the tour, such as an air guitar competition or even a temporary tattoo parlor set up for the occasion.
Created in 2006, Hellfest has become a staple of summer festivals and an unmissable event for the tens of thousands of metal fans who come from all over the world every year. An environment that opens up year after year to a wider audience, in particular thanks to this tour, whose motto is: if you don’t come to Hellfest, Hellfest will come to you. “The idea is to keep this bond that we have with the public and that we have built over the years”, specifies Eric Perrin, communication manager of the festival. Last date: this Saturday, May 6 in Nantes, on the lands of Hellfest.
