When an F1 champion sells his car …

The Korean manufacturer has indeed decided to tackle a new record. He drove a Nexo for 6 hours on the Val Thorens ice circuit in Savoie. A circuit located at an altitude of 2,200 m and which is the highest in Europe. It is the first time that such a record has been achieved in the cold and at altitude, and with a production vehicle. Hyundai wanted to show that hydrogen is not afraid of difficult conditions and preserves autonomy. For 6 hours in a row, it was the driver Adrien Tambay who held the wheel. Admittedly, it drove slower than in the electric Andros trophy. But, it nonetheless completed 190 laps and still had 50 km in the tank at the finish, despite the ice skating and the presence on board of passengers. In zero-emission mode, the hydrogen-powered Hyundai Nexo saved 26.5 kg of CO2. And since this SUV has a particularly efficient filter, it has purified the ambient air to the tune of 267 m3.

Stellantis begins delivering its first hydrogen vehicles

The group resulting from the merger of PSA and Fiat Chrysler has started small series production of hydrogen utility vehicles. These vehicles combine both a lithium battery and a fuel cell to provide 400 km of range. Opel thus offers a Vivaro, the first copy of which will be used by Miele, the German appliance giant. Citroën has placed its Hydrogen Jumpy at Suez and Peugeot its Expert at a Michelin subsidiary which manages fleets.

At Volkswagen, the Golf will be driven even more by voice.

As part of a software update, the German manufacturer offers faster and more efficient voice control. Just say “Hello Volkswagen” to activate it. The system can understand everyday phrases, such as “I’m cold” or “Where can I find a Japanese restaurant”. Thanks to digital microphones, it now knows which driver or passenger is talking, which means that it can, for example, activate the air conditioning specifically for the person requesting it. The optimized system is also capable of asking questions. Optimized voice control provides control of multimedia, navigation, telephone and air conditioning. Eventually, it will also be able to offer news or weather reports.

And then the new Formula 1 world champion sells his car online

Max Verstappen will sell his company car, a Honda Civic Type R. It will go on sale on December 23 at a price of 33,333 euros, on the CarNext site. It is one of the leading online used car marketplaces in Europe. The car is white and displays 58,000 km on the odometer. The principle is first come, first served. Proceeds from this operation will be donated to the charity selected by CarNext, Wings for Life by RedBull.
