Glycolic acid has an exfoliating effect. Its main action? It eliminates the dead skins which are accommodated by an intercellular glue which are connected between them. This is why it is widely used in peeling products. It stimulates and accelerates cell activity to reduce acne scars and wrinkles. Acid? It can be scary but this acid is strangely hydrating… and soothing! Your skin will be toned and illuminated.

Glycolic acid belongs to the AHA family, they are fruit acids! They generally come from sugar cane, grapes or even beets. It penetrates the skin more easily than lactic and citric acids.
Warning: this acid should not be used with other powerful exfoliants such as retinol, BHA, benzoyl peroxide and vitamin C… you risk dry skin and trigger irritation!
