He who celebrated 64 years of marriage, the Astrakhan wedding, revealed the secret of the longevity of his couple to journalist Isabelle Dhombres. In the podcast “Shadows and lights” of Tele-Leisurehe explained that it was crucial to “to not be bored“. And to remember his meeting with Micheline.
Gérard Hernandez says that when he met the woman of his life for the first time, he “said to his childhood friend Jean Becker: “Do you see this young girl? You’ll never see me without her“. And to add: “And so it was. Turns out she must have thought the same thing about me, since she stayed.”
Over time, he confides, “We laughed and we continue to laugh. There are bad times of course, like everyone, but never be bored. And then, we need a certain admiration for each other. I don’t know about her, but I admire her a lot.”

And if they never leave each other, there is definitely a moment when Gérard Hernandez wants to be without Micheline. In the podcast, he says about his wife: “She doesn’t even come on set.” And for good reason, explains this very modest person: “I’m afraid she’ll make fun of me! The people I like very much, I don’t like them to see me work, I’m ashamed of not doing well. It’s what’s left of my youth, I’m still just as fragile.”.
