“Hi, it’s Sarah! What does it say?”

This Monday, August 19, tributes are pouring in to salute the career of Alain Delon, who died this Sunday at the age of 88. An iconic actor of French cinema, known as far as Japan, also criticized for his ego, his political positions and his friendship with Jean-Marie Le Pen.

In the absence of a nomination for Matignon, La France Insoumise is threatening the President of the Republic with impeachment proceedings against him. The initiative has little chance of success, because the Insoumis would need the support of two-thirds of Parliament, while the other member parties of the New Popular Front have disassociated themselves from LFI’s announcement.

At the end of the final stage of the Women’s Tour de France, won by the defending champion, the Dutchwoman Demi Vollering, it was the Polish Katarzyna Niewiadoma who won the third edition of the race, with only four seconds ahead of Vollering. A suspenseful finish that helped establish the Women’s Tour de France as a major sporting event of the summer.
