An agreement was reached between Hamas and Israel for the release of 50 hostages. In return, the Israeli government has undertaken to respect, among other things, a four-day truce.
Hadas Calderon did not want to change his habits. Like every day since the kidnapping of her two children and their father on October 7, she came to demonstrate in front of the Ministry of Defense on Wednesday November 22. However, for the first time, she is a little more optimistic. The day before, the Israeli government validated the agreement concluded with Hamas. It provides for the release of 50 hostages in exchange for a four-day truce in the fighting in Gaza. Ten additional hostages will be released per additional day of truce. In addition, the agreement involves the release of around 150 Palestinian prisoners.
Eight French hostages
Hamas currently holds 236 hostages according to the Israeli army. Among them, there are eight French hostages, including the children of Hadas Calderon. For the moment, she has not received any confirmation that her children would be released in the coming days. “I have hope, but it’s very hard”she concedes.
