(Westmount) A stabbing incident occurred in the city of Westmount, located on the island of Montreal, during the night of Monday to Tuesday. The victim is in critical condition.
A call was made to 911 indicating that an individual had been injured, possibly by a stab, Monday evening around 11:50 p.m. at the corner of Atwater Avenue and Sainte-Catherine Street West.
When they arrived on the scene, the police provided assistance to a 49-year-old man injured in the upper body, possibly by a sharp object, indicated Julien Lévesque, spokesperson for the Police Department of the City of Montreal ( SPVM).
He was transported to a hospital and his life is feared.
A security perimeter was erected to allow investigators, assisted by the dog handler and a forensic identification technician, to analyze the scene and clarify the circumstances surrounding this event.
No arrests have been made at this time, the investigation continues.
