Wes Anderson’s new film, The French Dispatch, hits theaters Wednesday, October 27. The director imagined life in a French town in XXth century, it is a city fictitious, but which is set in Angoulême, in Charente.

Wes Anderson is back in the city where he shot his new movie: Angoulême, in Charente. It was accompanied by Bill Murray, his favorite actor. The French Dispatch, it’s a wacky patchwork in post-war France. The decor ? An imaginary city named Ennui-sur-Blasé. Everything was filmed in Angoulême at the end of 2018.
