It is a story that sends shivers down the spine that took place in the city of Angers (Maine-et-Loire) around 3 a.m. on the night of Friday to last Saturday. A brawl of extreme violence took place and three people lost their lives, including a 16-year-old minor, the other two not being much older since they are 18 and 20 years old. The terrible tragedy took place on the Coeur-de-Maine esplanade, in the city center of Angers and a 32-year-old suspect was indicted on Sunday evening and placed in detention, the prosecution announced on Sunday.
A horrible murderous madness that touches the heart of the world of rugby since the three deceased men were all rugby players. Obviously, the three of them were trying to help a woman bothered by their attacker, before the latter turned against them, attacked them with a knife and killed them, according to information from the Parisian. Among the victims, two of them were related to a famous rugby player currently playing for the Toulon Rugby Club. In effect, Emerick Setiano25, is a star of his sport and he notably counts 6 selections with the France team.
Atama and Manolito were club kids
The latter published on his Instagram account in story a message for his two cousins who left too soon. “Horrible. Peace to your souls my little cousins”, he wrote. Probably devastated by the news, Emerick Setiano therefore had the pain of losing two members of his family. The former club of two young boys, SCO Angers, also paid them a moving tribute. “The whole SCO Rugby Angers family joins in the pain of the parents of Atama and Manolito who died last night in Angers. Atama and Manolito were children of the club. We send our sincere condolences to their family and to the entire Wallis community”says the club in reference to Wallis and Futuna, where their family is from.
