The north of France is preparing to face the violent storm Eunice. Météo France has placed five departments on orange alert. Winds of 140km/h are expected and flooding on the coasts tomorrow morning, Friday February 18.

On Friday February 18, storm Eunice will hit the north of France. AT Wiméreux (Pas-de-Calais)the municipal police spent the day keeping walkers away and reminding them of the safety instructions. “We must prevent people from crossing the bridge, there is danger, the sea is rising, the coefficient is very high”, explains Alain Magnier, policeman.

There is also a risk of being struck by an object carried by the wind. So on a construction site, everything is fixed to the ground. Faced with the danger, many residents planned for a quiet day, preferring to stay at home and work in the warm. Tomorrow, the wind speed could reach 150 km/h. Storm Eunice is expected all over northern Europe. Storms have already taken place in Poland and Germany, tearing roofs and trees, which fell on the roads.
