With temperatures approaching freezing across Quebec, the rain falling in the province could turn to snow on Sunday.
While remaining above seasonal averages, the mercury falls on Sunday in the province.
In the Montreal region and Outaouais, an alternation of sun and clouds is expected during the day as well as chances of precipitation in the form of snow starting at night only.
In the Quebec region, a mix of rain and snow is expected all day.
The Bas-Saint-Laurent region, Saguenay and Abitibi-Témiscamingue will be covered by a light fall of snow throughout the day.
In the south of the province, temperatures between 1°C and 2°C are expected during the day, before a drastic drop below freezing in the early evening and overnight.
In Estrie, low chances of precipitation are forecast throughout the day, starting as rain early in the morning and changing to snow throughout the day.
Environment Canada is even predicting a blizzard in the Far North. A warning is also in effect for the Aupaluk and Kangirsuk regions from Sunday evening to Monday afternoon.
Cooling temperatures are expected to continue throughout the week, after the mild spell the province experienced last week.
