Weather in Quebec: windy weather with showers at the end of the day

Quebecers should take advantage of the morning sun as a brief but very intense cold front, accompanied by strong winds and a mix of precipitation, will sweep through several areas of the province on Wednesday evening.

This windy weather with gusts of up to 70 km/h will cause snow squalls earlier in the morning with accumulations of 5 to 10 centimeters in Abitibi-Témiscamingue and part of the Outaouais, according to Environment Canada.

In Greater Montreal, where it will be 7 degrees, despite generous sunshine at the start of the day, the situation will change quickly with increased cloudiness in the afternoon followed by a few rain showers changing to snow showers in the evening.

The same scenario will apply in areas of central Quebec, where sunny weather will give way to rain and snow showers, with temperatures rising relatively to 6 to 8 degrees in Quebec City and Estrie.

On the other hand, the clouds will be denser in the sky of the eastern regions of the province where the mercury will be down, particularly in the Bas-Saint-Laurent and the Côte-Nord where the wind effect will be felt, according to the forecasts of the federal agency.
