Tuesday will be synonymous with gray weather for a very large part of the province while Environment Canada is forecasting a few scattered snow showers across the territory.
The sky will thus be “generally cloudy” in the majority of areas of western Quebec, while temperatures of 5 degrees will accompany westerly winds at 20 km/h in greater Montreal, according to the federal agency.
Similar forecasts are announced in Lanaudière, Saint-Jérôme and the Laurentians, but also in central Quebec in Estrie, Drummondville and Mauricie, where maximums above the freezing point could make residents shiver with a Wind chill varying between -3 and -7, depending on the sector.
Same story in the Capitale-Nationale region, in Beauce and Charlevoix, where the mercury will however be a little lower, displaying a maximum of 1 degree on the thermometer, with wind chill which could bring the temperature down into the -12 to -13 in the morning.
Some sectors, such as Pontiac, Témiscamingue, La Tuque and Lac-Saint-Jean also announce a 30 to 40% probability of snow showers in the morning on Tuesday, with a cloudy afternoon, like the rest of the province. .
Similar forecasts also await the east of the province, where certain sectors such as Sainte-Anne-des-Monts – Grande-Vallée will experience snow shower probabilities of up to 60%.
