The Prime Minister spoke on Tuesday directly to relatives of nationals kidnapped by Hamas.
One year after the massive Hamas attacks in Israel, two French people are still detained in the Gaza Strip. They are Ohad Yahalomi and Ofer Kalderon. “We are thinking of the hostages”declared Michel Barnier, Tuesday October 8, during the question session to the government organized at the National Assembly, which was attended by the families of these hostages. “You told me [à l’occasion d’une rencontre organisée la veille] : ‘We must be wary of Hamas’ and then you told me ‘We must be wary of oblivionreported the Prime Minister. “I want to tell you again, that I told you last night, that we do not forget, we will not forget”declared the head of government.
Michel Barnier also had a word for “the very numerous civilian victims in Gaza and the West Bank”. “Too many men, too many women, elderly people, children have diedhe added. First all the hostages must be freed, the war must end.”
