Eric Coquerel, NFP-LFI MP for Seine Saint Denis and chairman of the Finance Committee of the National Assembly, demanded on France Inter on Thursday 12 September the details of the ceiling letters, which determine the budgets of each ministry for 2025.

“We are already six weeks behind schedule compared to what the law provides for, on the transmission of budgetary information to Parliament”he laments. “We did not have the ‘Offprint’, the details of the ceiling letters”, “to dispose of them and start to debate”. Gold, “discuss the budget” is one of the “essential prerogatives” of Parliament, recalls the deputy.

If they are not transmitted to them, “We will go and get them with Charles de Courson [député Liot et rapporteur général de la commission des Finances] Monday at Matignon, since that is apparently where it starts, to obtain them and thus inform the national representation, which seems to me to be the minimum.”
