Éric Zemmour, president of Reconquête!, was the guest of “4 Vérités” on France 2, Tuesday March 19.

On the evening of Sunday March 17, a police station in La Courneuve (Seine-Saint-Denis) was targeted by around fifty individuals who fired mortars, fireworks and projectiles. Nine people were arrested, Paris police chief Laurent Nuñez announced on Monday. These clashes occurred four days after the death of an 18-year-old young man, Wanys. He was hit by a police vehicle on his scooter following a refusal to comply.

“What we call scuffles with the police, I see it as guerrilla warfare against an armed force which represents France”estimates Éric Zemmour in “4 Vérités” on France 2, Tuesday. “We must take very severe measures”demands the president of Reconquest!. “I have the impression that the current power, Emmanuel Macron, wants to establish order in Mariupol, and he is not capable of stopping mortar fire in La Courneuve”he says.

“We must first sanction before appeasing”

Continuing on the situation in La Courneuve and the means to respond to it, Éric Zemmour says he thinks “which must first be sanctioned before appeasing, because it is through sanction and respect for authority that we appease”. “We must, first of all, allow the police to be able to defend themselves. It is absolutely scandalous that they are attacked, stoned and injured in this way. We must provide for a presumption of self-defense”asks the president of Reconquest!. Eric Zemmour also calls for “stop judicial harassment against police officers”.
