The Nupes related LFI deputy from Paris, Aymeric Caron, indicates that he will be present at the tribute to the French victims of the October 7 attacks, perpetrated by Hamas, delivered by Emmanuel Macron, Wednesday February 7. “This ceremony has a dimension that goes beyond simply paying tribute to the victims of October 7, to the Franco-Israeli victims, it will be a reminder of the essential fight against anti-Semitism and against all forms of racism”he explains.

Some victims’ families asked that LFI elected officials not attend the tribute. “I think I have been absolutely clear on my position vis-à-vis Hamas”, recalls the deputy. Aymeric Caron insists on the importance of demonstrating “regardless of our political color, our absolute solidarity with the pain of these families”.
