A team from France 2 was able to follow the Ukrainian unit which uses the guns delivered to kyiv by the French army.
This is the first time they have been filmed in combat. A France 2 team was able to follow, on Sunday June 5, the Ukrainian gunners who use the famous Caesar guns delivered by France.
Their target during this day? Russian artillery pieces positioned 17 kilometers away. “Immediately after firing, the gunners must leave as quickly as possible to avoid being spotted by the enemy“, explains the journalist from France Télévisions, Maryse Burgot, present on the spot.
After each Caesar shot, Ukrainian surveillance drones fly over the intended targets, for example, here, Russian tanks destroyed a few days ago. According to the commander of this unit which has six Caesars, they allowed the elimination of at least 80 Russian artillery pieces. These young Ukrainian gunners were trained in France, in the middle of the war, a month ago, on a military base in the south of France.
