We cook the elderberry

Nicolas reminded us that, be careful, we can only eat black elderberry, that is to say with the small white flowers. Possibly its berries, but always cooked.

Nicolas makes a sort of “champagne” of which he gave us the recipe. He also makes donuts.

One day a trade

Every Monday we go to join our Lorraine market gardeners. Today stopover at Benoit Cusin, market gardener in the gardens of Motières in Villey Saint Etienne. He has fennel, bunch onion and all kinds of salads.

Our culinary expert

Lucy Morel is a vegetable caterer, she has “green thumbs” and she told us about “vegetarian bowls” with split peas.
