Every year for the past ten years, Bono has participated in the traditional charity event of musicians in favor of the homeless, on Christmas Eve, on Grafton Street, one of the most important shopping streets in Dublin (Ireland). With the Covid epidemic, the demonstration could not take place in the streets this year but in streaming from Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in the Irish capital.
It is in this context that Bono took over Friday, December 24 Running to stand still, flagship title of U2’s album The Joshua Tree (1987). He was surrounded by guitarists, a pianist, a violinist and a drummer, as seen in the black and white video below.

Bono also recently covered another U2 classic with American actress Scarlett Johansson, I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For. They recorded the song for the animated film All in Scene 2, which just came out for the holidays. The actress lends her voice to a porcupine girl, while the singer lends hers to the lion.
U2 also gave the film an unreleased track, Your song Saved My Life, which appears in the official soundtrack. Unveiled in November, it is the first composition of the group released in two years.
